This is how I enjoy my day off. I had a 4 day weekend so I did some of those chores that you always think "I really need to get around to that..." but rarely have time to actually do them. The scariest part is I loved every minute of it! This is probably my favorite chore ever. It's actually doesn't mix well with OCD because it's really hard to stop once I get started and I'm afraid that one day our couch will be really tiny when I'm done because I will have shaved it all away.
I really like our couch, but didn't realize when we picked it out that this would happen with this kind of material. I call them Nubbies. I don't know exactly where the name came from, I just know my mom and I always called them that. Maybe she made it up, maybe I did, or who knows...maybe everyone calls them Nubbies. Anyway, I hate them so I attacked them.
Here are the little buggers close up (and for my photography friends isn't that a good example of DOF? This was f/2.5 on my 50mm 1.4.
