Sissy's Sassy Sneakers

What a great day!  Marissa has a few days out of school and I am off work for the better part of both this week and next which all sounds like good news, but honestly...I wasn't sure how we were all going to stand this much "together time".  It's funny because when Marissa first started kindergarten just a short time ago, it seemed like the days were so looooong waiting for her to get done so we could go pick her up.  It's amazing how quickly we got used to this new routine and now the days seem to fly by and before I know it, it's time to go get her from school.  Yesterday was the first of 5 days in a row that myself and the kids would all be home together...all day long.  We didn't get off to a great start.  I tried to get some stuff done around the house and I think the kids got bored and we all ended up grumpy.  Today I decided we needed to get out of here so we went to Paradise Park where the kids can run around and keep busy (and burn energy).  Then we went to grab  this cute pair of shoes that I saw the other day, but wasn't sure Marissa would like so I didn't buy them (but have been thinking about them ever since).  Now we are waiting for our favorite meal (meatloaf) to get done in the oven and then we are heading to daddy's work for some ice cream and a quick visit before we come home for baths (or a shower for M depending on her mood) books, and bed.  I am now optimistic that the next 3 days are going to be full of more fun!  After that...thank goodness for Mindy and kindergarten so I can have some Mama time and hopefully get some painting done!
