I know that fall has been here for a while now, but as I was sitting here staring out the window at the twinkling patio lights that we hung this summer I was thinking about when we first got them and hung them. It was this summer around the same time we got our new patio furniture and were looking forward to lots of fun time out in the patio/pool area. It doesn't seem that long ago. Now I'm pulling out winter clothes, trying to figure out if we need new hats/gloves/ heavy coats and I even purchased my first Christmas gift today. Marissa and I were talking and she also reminded me that her and Chase need new sleds this year because they have outgrown their other ones. Where did summer go? While reflecting on this I also decided these lights might make a cool shot for today's post. You would think with all of those thoughts of the seasons and weather changing I would have considered that maybe I should put on a jacket or, I dunno, some shoes? Nah, I thought I would run out real quick and get a really cool shot. In reality nothing looked as cool as what I had envisioned in my head and my feet were cold and the acorns I was stepping on barefoot while trying to find a good place for my tripod HURT. So this is what I got. At least they aren't covered in snow yet.
