365/112...Baby

My dad bought this car when I was 4. Shortly after that I announced that one day she would be mine. I don't have much left from my childhood. There's really just this car but in there...everything is the same. The smell, the feeling of the bucket seats, the sound of the heavy metal door closing, my mom's graduation tassle with '66 on it (the year she graduated AND the year of the car). It will always be home. Today I tried driving her for the first time ever. I drove a stick a few times when I was younger and got the hang of it, but that was a very long time ago and this car is a little more challenging. I did "ok" but it didn't really matter. It felt great to be behind the wheel and my husband was a great and very patient instructor.

Side note:  I did have my camera with me and intended on trying to get a few shots of the "whole" car parked somewhere, but totally forgot so this is an iPhone photo and I love it.
