So many positive things come from doing a 365 project...too many to list. Obviously one of them is the learning that comes along with it. Learning to use different lights, subjects, camera settings, editing skills, locations, and on and on. This year another thing I am learning is to let go. The last time I did this project I sometimes let my OCD take the fun out of it. Whether it was changing the date in my blog posts because it was after midnight and I didn't want it to post on the wrong date because then I would have technically "missed" a day (yes, really) or frantically running around late at night trying to find something to shoot because nothing jumped out at me during the day. I HAD to follow the "rules". This time it still is important to me to try to shoot every day because I think it becomes a habit and forces you to look for subjects everywhere which is one of the many positive things I mentioned above. I did take photos today. This was not one of them. I just wasn't feeling them so I worked on editing them anyway for the experience and to see what came out of them (nothing) and then re-edited a quick shot I grabbed during a family session and decided to share it instead...and that's ok.
