Training my new Assistant

I found an interesting photography project on my latest obsession- Pinterest. (If you aren't on this site, I highly recommend it. Especially if you have OCD tendencies). It is a list of things to take a picture of every day...kind of like a photography scavenger hunt. Thought that might come in handy on this blog. The first thing on the list was a self portrait. I set up my tripod on the front porch this evening and thought I would give it a try. Marissa was just getting ready to go to bed, but wanted to help. She became pretty interested in the whole thing and wanted to take the picture so this isn't a true self-portrait but I think I'm going to start the actual project later this week anyway so we'll just call this a training session for my jr. photographer. She didn't do too bad...


She even started "directing" me and told me to strike this pose. Her focus kind of fell on the bushes in this one...we will work on this. ;)


MACRO MONDAY ANSWER: Yes, it was a sponge. Next week will be tougher.
