It was a long and busy week at work. The weather has been cold, gray and gloomy and all I have been wishing for was a nice day off with some sunshine and warm weather. Today should have been that day. I started suspecting that might not happen last night though when my car started acting funny. It was having a little trouble shifting gears and although I'm no mechanic, I knew that probably meant one thing...transmission trouble. It wasn't super noticeable at first so I kind of decided to go into denial and hope that it was just a little bug that would resolve itself. As I got ready for bed, I also noticed that I had been sneezing a ton, had a sore throat and just felt achy and tired all over. Again, it was probably just a temporary thing and I would probably feel better in the morning. I awoke to sunshine and blue skies and warm weather, just like I wished for on my day off, but I didn't feel good at all. I took Marissa to school in Chad's truck while he made some calls to figure out when we could get my car fixed. It turns out the only place with loaner cars available might take up to a month to fix my car. Lovely. Chase and I pick Marissa up from school and he decides he doesn't want to leave so he throws a slight tantrum. While trying to pick him up off the floor I manage to pull something in my knee. Ow. I come home to my little loaner car that will be my new companion for possibly the next month and then we head to Marissa's Dr. appointment. One thing that I have figured out is that it isn't just the weather that has been keeping most of my photos of things around my house so far, it's also the fact that I need to start taking my camera with me everywhere. I was somehow under the impression that once the weather got nice, I would also magically have all of this time to just drive around and take pictures of anything and everything. That's not going to happen. So I load up my camera in my little car to try to get some cool photos of downtown Kansas City. While sitting at a stoplight with a nice view of the downtown skyline, I grab my camera for a shot. The battery is dead. Of course it is. On the bright side, my daffodils have finally bloomed. :)
what a beautiful shot...i need to do better too...hope things look up and you find more time :)
