Excuse me, but this is called SPRING break!

Today was the first day of spring break for the schools here. Last night I was putting Chase to sleep and he kept pointing out the window and saying "no"..."no"! I thought he was trying to tell me he didn't want to go to sleep, but it turns out he was saying "Snow!" It was just barely falling, but by the time I went to bed it was really coming down. I was NOT thrilled about this turn of events. I woke up to a winter wonderland the first day of "spring" break. I do have to admit that as unwelcome as it was, it was the prettiest snow of the year. It built up on the branches of the trees and was beautiful. I purchased my extension tubes that I have been using in anticipation of shooting flowers this spring, but when life gives you lemons...make lemonade. For this shot I put my lens cap in the freezer while making the kids breakfast and then after a while took it out and held it outside to catch a few flakes.
