Cropped

I think the coolest thing about doing this blog so far is that no matter how much I think about what my photos will be for the post of the day, I'm always surprised what they end up actually being, AND how my daily shoots are turning into little lessons. Todays photos are the product of me hanging out on my favorite photography board during naptime and someone posted some really nice, sharp photos from their new lens- which happens to be my newest lens too. They were so sharp that it made me question how sharp my copy of the lens was so I started playing. The first photo was of Marissa's whole face and then I cropped her eye at 100% to check out the sharpness of my lens. Looks like my focus fell on her lashes instead of her eyeball, but considering you could count them all if you wanted, I think it's pretty sharp. This experiment made me realize that I have kind of gotten out of the habit of doing much cropping to my photos to make them more interesting so I played around with a couple more photos that I took today. Barney isn't much of a model and won't pose for mommy like my kids are trained to, but it made a good practice photo for cropping.
